getID3() is a PHP script that extracts all information from MP3s and other multimedia formats: MP3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, AVI, MPEG-1 video, Windows Media (ASF / WMA / WMV), RealAudio & RealVideo, Monkey's Audio, Musepack / MPC, AIFF, AU, VOC, OptimFROG, WavPack, LPAC, MIDI, ZIP, BMP, PNG, GIF, JPG, and more! This class can be used to correct tags of MP3 tags of music with records stored in a MySQL database. It scans a MySQL database table with information about music albums to see which albums did not have yet the associated ID3 tags. The class accesses Web services APIs of sites like audioscrobbler.com, last.fm, lyricwiki.org and lyricsfly.com to correct the pending music tags and get other details about the stored music like: album, title, artist, genre, etc..

This script allows visitors to your site to easily submit song lyrics to be added to a list. You can set an option to have the lyrics automatically added to the list or have them reviewed by an admin first in a password protected admin page and then accepted or declined by the admin. Every attribute of the look of the pages can be edited in a small configuration file. The submitters name, url, email, artist, song name, and lyrics are all saved in one file in a ordered fashion. MP3SQL is an product that generates and file with SQL commands. These commands are for adding the information that have been extracted out of your MP3 files. This archive also includes some scripts to easy add several CD-Roms containing MP3s. There is also an example php3 source to query an MySQL server for the aquired information. A nice shell script that adds the databases is also included. In addition, there is an playlist add possibility from the webinterface. There is also an script that reads the playlist and when there are no more entries in the playlist it randomizes from all your mp3s.

Uses locate to find your mp3 and ogg files and then searches them providing a dynamic playlist. Do a "locate .mp3 .ogg" from your command line to see if this script will work for you. If you supply a regular expression for a search and a basic word then your regular expression will take precedence. The list of mp3's will point to a local file - so the script assumes you are using a local filesystem. A dynamic playlist is also created for download. This is probably a good script to learn from for beginners.

Everybody sometimes wants to find some information about his favorite artists or compositions heard from radio or TV. It is really easy to find a lot of musical information using OrbitMusicSearch, even the surfer knows just the name of the artist, the title of composition or the title of album. There are 4 types of choosing information: By Artist, By Album, By Song, By Biography (biographical information about artists). The search is performed using Yahoo Search Engine API. The request and brief information about surfers is saved for statistics. Search results are displayed by using easily customizable template system.
